Brief Recap: Last turn, the party continued fighting the earth creatures attacking Dunore. The Druid's chant has apparently failed to ward off the elementals. Bibi and Abu are attacked by three of the creatures, while Trenin tries to help them with his magic, suspecting his arrows are not hurting the creatures. Ghotu and Mog continue fighting the largest of the creatures, while more elementals attack the other druids.

Dunore Under Attack

Abu's horse struggles mightily to escape the earth creatures grasps with two riders, as the elementals pile more and more dirt atop the horse and its cargo. Abu realizes that the horse will not be able to escape, as wherever the animal tries to get footing, the earth turns to soft clay, entrapping the animal's hooves and giving it no purchase. It is now sunk past its knees, and Abu senses the horse's fright. Though the creature is magic and highly intelligent, it is near panic. Abu fears that they will soon be buried.

Bibi, though she is lying across Abu's horse's shoulders, inserts the old stone back into the locket and pops another stone from its place, ready to use it. As she concentrates on the stone, the jarring of Abu's horse knocks the stone from her fingers, and it falls into the churning earth surrounding them.

Trenin's magic missile strikes one of the masses of earth that threaten to cover the Paladin, Druid, and warhorse. The spell appears to have effect, for the earth blackens in that spot and the creatures seem to shrink slightly from harm at the contact. However, the overall effect is small, and the elementals still work to bury their targets.

Ghotu again risks moving inside on the large earth elemental, again hitting it with its axe. Three times his weapon bites the creature, and a low groan like stones grinding is heard. The earth creature forms a large polyp of rocks and dirt and tries to drop it on Ghotu, but this time the fighter is ready, and he sidesteps. The monster's tendril slams into the earth right next to Ghotu, spraying him with pebbles and dirt.

Then Mog's second Flame Strike spell hits the earth elemental, and it finally explodes into a thousand pieces, sending rocks, dirt, and burning roots in a wide radius, covering everyone in dust and debris from its death. When the dust clears, the creature is no more.

The druids are now scattering, and Aria, seeing Mog's success, holds an amulet at her breast and casts a flame spell at one of the elementals attacking a druid. The other druids use weapons to fend off the attacking elementals.

In the city, people can be heard screaming, and the ground is beginning to shake.

Surmising that magic is the only way to defeat these Creatures, Trenin draws his enchnted sword and moves into melee with the nearest one.

Realizing that they are not going to get away so easily, Abu jumps from his horse, while helping Bibi do the same, and draws his magical vorpal weapon, and begins slicing. "Sorry my charge, it looks like we moved to slowly. We must now stand and fight!"

Ghotu and Trenin both move toward the mass of elementals attacking Bibi and Abu. Mog follows, drawing his rune covered dagger, his only magic weapon.

[I am ending the turn, Bibi tries to jump off the horse with Abu.]
