Brief Recap: Last turn, the party gathered around the central open air temple of Dunore and discussed the use of the Obsidian Stone. It was decided the druids would use the stone (with Bibi holding it during the chant) to protect Dunore. But when the druids began their chant, Bibi's chant was discordant and she could not use the Stone's power to aid them. A large mass of earth then arose and attacked the characters.

Dunore Invaded

Trenin was first to react, and though the ground shakes beneath his feet, he plants three arrows dead center in the mass from the earth [Trenin did 15, 18, 14].

The creature ignores the arrows and continues its attack on Ghotu. As it raises a limb made of rocks and mud and twisted roots, Ghotu tosses his net on its arm and moves in with his axe, hacking at the base of the thing. His axe thunks into rocks and mud [16 damage]. Ghotu tears it out and tries to pass by the earth creature to put one of the standing stones between it and himself. But it swings its arm and knocks Ghotu tumbling towards the dais. When Ghotu reaches the length of his net, which is still attached to the monster's arm, he is yanked to a halt. [Ghotu takes 30 damage, 120/150.] The creature moves toward him.

Abu's horse is very uncomfortable, and whinnies at the movement of the earth nearby. Abu watches Bibi as she activates the stone from her amulet, and he notices she is floating slightly off the ground. The creature seems unaffected by her magic.

Mog, who has been chanting since the monster rose from the earth, finishes his spell and points his rod at the creature. A column of flame drops down from the sky on the earth monster, blasting earth and stones from it, burning the roots running through it [30 damage]. Some of the roots still burn, and the creature seems to be weakened. It stops moving toward Ghotu.

The ground continues shaking and the people who had gathered are now scattered around the area. Several areas of the ground are churning, and four or five mounds of earth and stone burst from the surface. The form into blob shaped masses and begin rolling over the ground, toward Bibi.

Seeing this, Abu moves very very quickly to Bibi and stretches his hand toward her. "Come chosen. This place cannot be saved now. It is you they are after. We must make for the prophet." He looks at her with reverence, as if she is a God. {is that humble enough for you Keith?}

Bibi does not answer Abu. Instead she pulls the darkest stone from her locket and holding it tight in her hand. She points a finger at the creature hoping to bring it's death. (finger of death)

Abu grabs Bib and throws her over his saddle.

Trenin fires three more arrows at the original earth creature.

Ghotu charges the large creature, hacking it with his axe.
