Turn Seventy-Two
Brief Recap: Last turn, the party journeyed to the Forest of Dunore and entered. They eventually notice that they are being watched, apparently by forest people. Bibi addressed them, while Humphrey went invisible. Encounter the Forest People Humphrey disappears before Ghotu's eyes after uttering the incantation for invisibility, as Bibi speaks: "I am the Druid from the northern tribe of the hawks. We pass through your forest on our way to Dunore, seat of the Great Druid, whom I serve. We are no threat to you or the forest. May we continue?" The party stands silently for a moment before they hear movement toward them. Soon, a young, handsome warrior with a spear in hand (held casually over his shoulder, but with point forward) and a bow across his back appears, wearing deerskin breaches and no shirt, mud smeared over most of his exposed body and in his hair, which is matted into dreadlocks similar to Bibi's. He does not speak for a moment, looking the party over carefully, particularly Bibi. To Bibi, Chu-tek seems very young to be leader of the hunters in his tribe. "I am Chu-tek of the tribe of the great snake, Chingachkook. I lead the hunters of our tribe. I have heard your name, Bibi of the Druids. You and your people are wel--" Chu-tek stops speaking abruptly, looking at the party again. "Where has the old one gone? An aged man traveled with you only a moment ago, and he is no longer with you." Chu-tek's face changes from friendly to serious. "Where is he?" he demands. Those in the party watching him notice he makes a few sudden hand gestures. Movement is heard in the bush after he does so, as though he signals his fellow hunters, who are still unseen.
Posting Instructions: The forest is kind of dim, as it is pretty dense overhead.
