Telegaming summary, 6.7.03
Brief Recap: Blade and Fyona stole into Bruce's home to kill him.
They had Bruce nearly at their mercy but Bruce has shot Blade with a
poisoned bolt, and Blade needed an antidote which Bruce had. After
Bruce gave Blade the antidote, Blade ordered Fyona to kill Bruce.
After further struggle, Count Vingrot arrived.

"To Return a Blade"

The session started with Count Vingrot's entry, bringing Thaddius and
eight of his elite guards. Blade and Fyona stopped trying to kill
Bruce. Blade attacked Thaddius with his ring of the ram, then faced
off with Vingrot. Fyona exited the room using her cloak to circle
behind Vingrot's party. Bruce took a healing potion and grabbed an
oil lamp, in preparation for starting a fire to cover their escape.
Two guards charged Bruce, others went after Blade and Jacob.
Fyona entered and engaged Thaddius while Blade and Vingrot dueled.
Bruce flung the lamp at a guard and started the books aflame. Vingrot
quickly reduced Blade to a desparate situation before Blade's
misfired attempt to use his Ring of the Ram blew himself across the
room and out of melee with Vingrot.

Fyona, having slain the treacherous Thaddius, engaged Vingrot. The
Count disarmed her, literally, severing her right arm above the
elbow. Blade returned to the fray by sneaking behind Vingrot and
stabbing him in the back. Vingrot continued to duel with Blade and
Fyona, once she retrieved her arm and secured it in her belt. Vingrot
was quickly supported by his guards, who engaged Blade, Fyona, and
Jacob.

Meanwhile, the fire grew quickly to a large size, setting the ceiling
aflame. Blade and Fyona, both nearly dead, struggled to dispatch the
Count, also in dire straits. After several near misses, they
succeeded in killing him, Fyona stabbing him in the neck. Fyona and
Blade then fought to subdue Vingrot's remaining guards as the flames
neared.

Bruce meanwhile was driven out the window by the flames, followed by
the guards he was fighting. They were engaged on the ground below by
the Town Watch and Guard, who recognized Bruce and aided him. Bruce
then went inside his house. Finding he could not aid in the fight, he
saved as many of his possessions as he could before his house burned
down.

Blade and Fyona killed the last of Vingrot's guards and escaped using
the Ring of the Ram yet again. They killed two of the Town Watch in
making their escape, Blade hacking the second one to death from
behind as he fled sounding the alert.

From there, Blade and Fyona rode to the North Gate in an attempt to
leave Pastille. The gate was closed and guarded, so they went to the
docks to look for a ship upon which to stow. Finding no good options
at the dock, and with dawn approaching, they decided to scale the
wall and abandon their mounts. Carrying as many supplies as they
could, they made it over (and through) the wall, making plans to rob
the first farmer they came to of his equines.
