Scene VI: Chasing the Ogre

    As the dogs enter, the party can hear groaning and whispering from inside the room. This end of the passage is quite dark, and the human party members cannot see into the room. Mog, standing behind the two lead fighters (Bruce and Ghotu) whispers, "I see several sleeping giants inside."

    Just then, the ogre bawls out loudly, apparently having noticed the dogs entering the room. Other giant voices can be heard as the room awakens. The party shoves open the left door of the double doors, allowing the tiny added light to show them who is in the room.

    Before them they see the remains of a giant orgy. The John Holmes of Giants stands before the characters naked, having risen to chastise the ogre for intruding in his "love pit." (Note only Mog and Bruce can understand this conversation, though the gist is evident to all.) Lying piled around the male giant on polar bear skins are seven naked female hill giants in various states of wakedness. Some of them have obviously been hard at work.

    "Pryapus, help! Intruders!" says the ogre to the giant. The giant sees the party at the door, and snatches from the bearskins and naked bodies a tall sword, easily ten feet in length, obviously made for a giant. It flashes briefly in the dim light, and runes can be seen upon the flat of the blade. The ogre babbles on about how we slaughtered his cohorts, warning him that we are dangerous.

    The war dogs need no instructions, for they leap to attack the ogre.
